I work with black female leaders, who are feeling overwhelmed, undervalued, and afraid to let go of always being seen as the strong one. It's time to release the responsibility of always being the strong black woman, for everyone except yourself, meanwhile, you are crumbling inside calling out for someone to hold a supportive space for you.  Yet there is still this inner voice that loves to inform you, of how selfish it sound’s to put yourself first. Here’s what I know to be true, it is not selfish to put your own needs first, the energy and frequency that you create when you are centred and aligned with who you really are touches everyone around in the most positive of ways.  Reclaiming your power, your self-worth, and your desires are no longer negotiable.

It’s so easy to create a life that someone else has carved out for you, without even recognising what has happened, but there comes a time when your intuitive voice starts to shout louder, and keeps reminding you of who you are meant to be. How do I know this because that was my story for so many years?

I constantly told myself that I was not as deserving as other people, I was not worthy of truly asking for what I really wanted, and even if I did nothing would change because deep down I felt powerless to change my own story. If I was meant to be the strong black woman, I had to put everyone else first right? That’s what I thought from a very young age. When I made a decision to dig deep within myself and start connecting back with my own desires of :

• Being intentional about improving my relationship with my husband

• Showing up and being a better mother to my children

• Leading a successful coaching business

• Creating melanin-rich retreats across the world

• Sourcing indigenous essential oils. and traveling solo to a range of countries across Africa

I gradually felt my feelings of joy, satisfaction, and happiness increase, my energy realigned with who I was becoming and I wanted to experience every part of my transformation, I get to change my own story and experience all of the things that I love, that alone is priceless. 

My relationships transformed, my business tripled its revenue in the space of 10 months, and I met some of the most inspiring people on my solo travels around Africa.  I let go of some people along the way, but I opened my heart to the most incredible new souls who aligned with my vision and values.  I finally discovered just how much strength is held in being open, vulnerable, and accepting the fullness of who I am.
